Ace Burpee's Honey Dill Chips are here!
August 16, 2019

Red River Co-op and Ace Burpee teamed up to develop delicious kettle cooked honey dill chips to help make children’s dreams come true through The Dream Factory.

What’s more local than Red River Co-op, Ace Burpee and honey dill? When Ace called up Red River Co-op with the brilliant idea to develop a honey dill flavoured chip, Red River Co-op went right to work. After months of taste testing, a kettle cooked chip was created with a delectable crunch and honey sweetness seasoned with savoury dill, just like the sauce Manitobans love.

As of Monday, August 19, you can pick up a bag of Co-op PURE Honey Dill Kettle Cooked Potato Chips exclusively at any of Red River Co-op’s seven food stores and at 30 participating Red River Co-op gas bars* in Winnipeg and surrounding area for $2.50.

With every bag sold, Red River Co-op will donate 25-cents to The Dream Factory, a charitable organization that was selected by Ace Burpee. The Dream Factory works to fulfill the dreams of children who are battling life-threatening illnesses right here in Manitoba. Since 1983, The Dream Factory has helped over 700 Manitoban families have their wishes come true with tailored experiences for their child.

“At The Dream Factory, we encourage kids to dream big and it’s our job to bring those dreams to life,” says Howard Koks, Executive Director of The Dream Factory. “Honey dill flavoured chips are a fun dream come true for many Manitobans, and we couldn’t be more excited and appreciative that proceeds raised will directly help to grant more dreams for kids here in our province.”

“We are proud to partner with Ace Burpee on this initiative as he is such a champion of community and caring in our province,” said Kelly Romas, Director of Marketing for Red River Co-op. “Together, we aim to help make an impact for a family through the important work of The Dream Factory while offering a new way to taste a uniquely Manitoban flavour to our members and customers.”

Co-op PURE Honey Dill Kettle Cooked Potato Chips will be available exclusively at Red River Co-op food stores and participating gas bars starting Monday, August 19. Find your closest location.
