FAQs - Changes to Online Shopping Experience
We’re making a temporary change to our Click & Collect service while we work on building a new online shopping platform for our customers and members. To ensure uninterrupted service, starting April 9, Click & Collect orders will move from Shop.crs to Instacart.

What’s changing on April 9?
As of April 9, all Click & Collect (pickup) orders will be placed through Instacart instead of Shop.crs. This transition allows us to continue offering online grocery ordering while a new Co‑op shopping platform is in development.
Where do I go to shop online now?
You can shop for Co‑op groceries by visiting Instacart.ca or by downloading the Instacart Groceries & Food Mobile App. On the day of the transition, both Shop.crs and the Co‑op Mobile App will automatically redirect customers to Instacart.
Do I need a new account?
Yes. Customers will need to create an Instacart account or use an existing one to place pickup orders. Co‑op and Shop.crs accounts do not transfer to Instacart.
Can I still use my Co‑op member number?
Yes. You’ll be prompted to enter your Co‑op member number at checkout on Instacart. Once entered, your member number will be saved to your Instacart account and won’t need to be re‑entered for future orders unless you shop at a different Co‑op association with a different member number.
Will my past orders appear on Instacart?
Your purchase history will appear in the “Buy It Again” section of Instacart. Past orders are tied to your Instacart account, and you will begin seeing purchase history after completing your first order on Instacart.
What payment methods are available?
Payments will be processed through Instacart’s secure Stripe payment system. Accepted payment methods include credit cards, Apple Pay (mobile), Google Pay (mobile), and PayPal.
How will my order be fulfilled?
Click & Collect orders will continue to be picked and prepared by local Co‑op staff and picked up at your selected Co‑op location.
Are there order minimums or fees?
There is a $10 minimum order. Pickup is free on orders of $35 or more and $3.99 on orders under $35.
Can customers communicate with shoppers?
Yes. Instacart offers live, in‑app communication, allowing customers to review substitutions and receive updates while their order is being prepared.
What happens to orders placed before April 9?
April 7 was the last day to place new orders on Shop.crs. Orders scheduled before April 9 will be fulfilled as usual. Orders scheduled on or after April 9 must be placed through Instacart.
Who do customers contact for help?
For questions about items, substitutions, or store‑specific concerns, customers can contact their local Co‑op. For account or technical support, customers can contact Instacart customer support.
