Covered for Eligible Manitobans — Eligible prescription contraceptives are covered at no cost through Manitoba's Enhanced Pharmacare Program (MEPP).

What Can Pharmacists Prescribe?
Eligible contraceptives pharmacists may prescribe:
- Oral contraceptives (birth control pills)
- Transdermal contraceptive patches
- Vaginal contraceptive rings
- Intramuscular contraceptive injections
Not included in this service:
- IUDs
- Hormonal implants
What to Expect During Your Appointment
During your assessment, your pharmacist may discuss:

Based on this assessment, your pharmacist will recommend appropriate options and determine whether prescribing is suitable.
In some situations, a pharmacist may refer you to another healthcare provider if additional assessment or care is required.
